No pressure for Mark Dyke and the Bullpups as they start their title defense

The NU Bullpups' title defense for UAAP Season 77 Junior Basketball Crown started last Nov. 29, 2014 at the Blue Eagle Gym. With the exit of its reliable seniors like Cani, Cauilan, Mosqueda, Battad, Castillo and Lopena, Bullpups will be tested this season that would most likely rely on the shoulders of Batang Gilas standout Mark Anthony Dyke and the brilliance of two-time UAAP Champion Coach Jeff Napa and his staff.

Thank You! Tribute to NU Seniors 2014

Today is the last game of Glenn Khobuntin, Troy Rosario, Tristan Perez and Henri Betayene as Bulldogs.

After their last dance against FEU later today for PCCL, they will hang up their National University jerseys for good. Something that most of us (NU Hopefuls) shuddered to see. Their college journeys may have come to an end. But their basketball careers have just begun. Soon enough, they will be on a bigger stage, playing under the bright lights of the commercial leagues.

It was never a walk in the park for these boys to get to where they are right now. And I just want to reminisce through the memories what these four boys have gone through in donning the National-U's colors.

It only takes one look...

And you are there. Standing a few steps away from me.

After a month of not talking to each other. I see you in the flesh again. For the first time. Not lying on my arms. Not driving. Seeing you in a place where it's not just the two of us trips me up. I don't know what to feel.

Watching you as you entertain the people around you makes me feel a little bit uncomfortable. I'm praying that you will not look on where I stand. For a moment, I think God hears my prayer.

But then.

Tricia Robredo

Hi, world, meet Tricia Robredo!
She is our courtside report. She is a future doctor.
I never thought we will be friends. (Laughs!) I love this girl so much.
She is a crybaby like me. We cry together in a lost game. We celebrate in a won one.
She is my sister, beyond UAAP, beyond courtside. We just get each other like that you know.

Share the joy.

Ohh our arms!

Now we lost again.

Hopes for a medal finish in the Asian Games becomes blur. Hearts are broken once more. For the Gilas team themselves, and for all Filipinos. But if there is one person that heart has been really crushed. It is for sure, without a doubt, the heart of Gilas Pilipinas Captain Jimmy Alapag.

GILAS at FIBA World Cup 2014

It's been five years since I first mingled with this team.
From day one up until now, I still consider them as my family. We've tasted all kinds, from the most bitter to the sweetest ones.I will always stand behind this team in any battle. At any cost. Cause we are the Bulldogs. We fall together and we rise together!

Here's for all the milestones and  future success!

The Perks of Traveling Solo

While there are some who won't go on a travel without someone accompanying them, there are also some (like me!)who would rather choose to go on solo. While traveling with someone seems always good, traveling solo has also its perks. Especially if you are the kind of person who wants to figure out something whether its about you, your life, your career, what's next or whatever.

I'm new in traveling. It's just my first year I guess, but I'm already used to traveling alone. And I would always prefer it. It is by choice most of the time. Though there are times that I would go with friends yet 90% of my trips are usually all by myself. With the adventurous heart that I have, I always find myself wandering at one place, and I just love it that way.

PLANS 2014

I have always been looking forward to New Years.

More than the food, parties and whatnot, I love new year because I am actually excited what it will bring to me and my life. New year also means New beginnings. New hope. New learnings. New Friends. New adventures. New experiences. and a whole lot more that's NEW.

I will never stop till I reach the top.
